The governor was present at Birnin Kudu local government area of the state to received the decamped politicians. Baduru however, left the venue of the supposed rally disappointed after the decampees failed to appear. Premium Times reports that the event was organised by a member representing Birnin Kudu /Buji federal constituency, Magaji Da’u Aliyu. It was also gathered that the leader of the decampees, Danmalam Unguwarya, failed to show up when he was called upon to make his speech on behalf of all his colleagues. Reacting to the incident, Baduru dispapointed by the turn out of the event and crisis bickered by political thugs in the area, urged party members to emulate his style of politics. He said politics should not be played with bitterness. He further flagged off the Waurno to Dankoshe feeder road, presented a N20 million prototype cheque to the leaders of the student unions and gave out keys of six vehicles to party officials from his constituency. NAIJ.com earlier reported that over 2,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) decamped to the PDP in Kano state in the past week. The decampees, NAIJ.com gathered, were received by an ex-governor of Kano state Ibrahim Shekarau, Aminu Wali and Gambo Salau over complaints of highhandedness within the APC.
